  • Life in Action to launch in September

Sunshine Coast families who have experienced domestic violence will soon have access to a range of new health and wellbeing programs.

The Life in Action project will encourage people to adopt a healthy lifestyle through activities including weekly health centre access, relaxation classes, mums and bubs yoga sessions, kidfit classes for pre-school aged children, active after school sports and teen adventure camps including transport and child care as required.

It is hoped that the families will enjoy improved physical and emotional health, and connect with their local community as a result.

The Queensland Government has provided $50,000 to Community Solutions’ Life in Action program to get more Queenslanders active through sport and recreation.

The program will commence during the September holidays and run until June 2011.
