Ian is a chartered accountant in public practice at CP O’Shea & Co, Rockhampton. Ian has been an owner or partner of the business since 1991. Ian is President of Central Queensland Rugby Union Ltd and Treasurer of Queensland Country Rugby Union.
Tony McFadden

Vice Chair
Tony is the founder and Director of James St Capital Pty Ltd; a boutique investment and corporate advisory group based in Brisbane. Previously, Tony was an investment banker with Credit Suisse First Boston in New York, Hong Kong and Singapore. Tony qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Coopers & Lybrand (now PWC) in Brisbane. Tony leads the social investment and future Foundation activities for the Community Solutions Group.
Paul Kusy
B.Comm., B.Law
Director
Paul is a Solicitor and Senior Partner with Schultz Toomey O’Brien Lawyers (Sunshine Coast) with a specific focus on commercial law. Paul has a detailed understanding of governance and compliance within a non-profit incorporated association and has been pivotal to the development of the community asset development strategy for the Community Solutions Group.
Michele Adair
Director
Michele has recently been appointed CEO of Cystic Fibrosis New South Wales. With a corporate background in marketing and business development, Michele chose to commit herself full time to the health and community sector in 2004 and has since held executive positions in a number of not-for-profit organisations and board appointments in the disability, community and health sectors. Michele has a passionate commitment to social inclusion, equity and human rights.
David Curd

Managing Director
David has more than 20 years experience in education, government, business and community sectors. In 1997, David was awarded a Winston Churchill Fellowship to study community development and drug prevention in the USA, UK and South East Asia. David founded Community Solutions Inc in 1998.
David currently holds the position of Director for:
- Sunshine Coast Economic Development Advisory Board;
- Job Futures Ltd; and
- National Disability Service
David was recently awarded the Medal for Management Excellence at the Australian Institute of Management (AIM) Management Excellence Awards 2012.

Patrick Burke

Group Executive Manager – Corporate Solutions, Company Secretary and Public Officer
Pat has 30 years experience in the corporate sector including senior positions in finance, accounting, human resources, risk, compliance and business development. In his previous role Pat was also the Company Secretary for a large joint venture manufacturing company in the upstream oil industry.
Pat was named as a finalist for the Australian Institute of Management (AIM) Not For Profit Manager of the Year Award in 2011.
Natasha Read
M.B.A, B. Comm, GAICD, FAIM
Group Executive Manager – People Solutions
Natasha has a wealth of experience in the commercial sector as well as local government, education and governance.
Natasha sits on a number of local Boards and Committees including:
- The University of the Sunshine Coast
- Sunshine Coast Institute of TAFE; and
- Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Natasha is an active volunteer with a number of national and international associations and had been a Director of the Sunshine Coast Health Foundation for 10 years before standing down in early 2010.
With a career founded on business and human resource management, Natasha takes a proactive and committed approach to the management of individuals, teams and organisations.
Natasha was recently named as a finalist for the Australian Institute of Management (AIM) Not For Profit Manager of the Year Award 2012.
Steve Dixon

Group Executive Manager – Business and Partnership Solutions
Steve possesses extensive knowledge of the legal sector and a strong understanding of property and governance.
A practising solicitor of 25 years, Steve managed Hervey Bay legal firm Bell Dixon Butler Lawyers for 15 years. In addition Steve:
- Has held a number of senior leadership positions with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry for the past 12 years
- Has sat on a number of Federal Government advisory committees; and
- Continues to serve on the Fraser Coast Regional Council’s Economic Advisory Committee.
Steve is also a Life Member of Apex, serves on the University of Southern Queensland Governing Council and is an active advocate for higher education.
Throughout his career, Steve has promoted significant business/community connectivity.
Jenny Madden

Jenny has over 20 years’ experience in the government and community sectors in the areas of education, health promotion and research. With a significant history in community engagement particularly in the areas of drug prevention and public health, Jenny has extensive experience in a range of community services within Australia and SE Asia. Jenny has also lived and worked in indigenous communities and continues to maintain an interest in indigenous health. In addition to her community development experience, Jenny has undertaken major research projects in the areas of drug prevention and addictive behaviours to inform government policy.
Jenny sits on the following Committees:

- Sunshine Coast Regional Council Social Advisory Committee
Kim Roberts

Group Executive Manager
Kim has over 30 year’s extensive experience in business Management at an executive level. This includes but not limited to: Department of Defence, finance, accountancy, legal industries and Local Government. Kim has also held Directorship appointments on the Flinders University, Thornton Group, SA Government 100 Project and HETA Boards.
Kim continues to serve on the Fraser Coast Regional Council’s Economic Development Advisory Committee and is involved with USQ Economic Development Enterprise Centre.
